Snowscapes!

A snowscape is a landscape covered with snow. For our snowscapes we created the snow on the ground by painting big strokes of white paint with a paint brush. Then we drew tall winter trees with no leaves, or evergreen trees.

We used our fingertips to dot the trees with white paint so that the trees looked covered with snow! Finally, we brainstormed things that we might find, play or do in the snow and added them to our picture! We made our snow scapes at the beginning of the year in January when we had lots of snow on the ground outside of school. We had fun observing snow as it fell, stuck to the trees and road, and over time slowly melted. We were able to compare and contrast the difference between things that you might see in a landscape versus a snow scape. We were able to find that although they have many things in common they are also very different
