CUT-PAPER SYMMETRY MASKS

Third graders partook in a discussion about the variety of reasons that different people here in the United States, and in other countries and cultures across time and across the world, have worn masks. After learning about one of the principles of art, symmetry and balance, and its impact on a piece of artwork, the  students then went on to create magnificent cut-paper mask collages.
